NMES 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk
“On the Road Again”

This fundraising event will benefit Lily’s Hope, a fund on behalf of one of our fifth grade students, Lily Weaver, who is battling Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer.  It will also benefit the Jeffrey Hayek Memorial Fund, created in memory of Jeffrey Hayek who passed away in 2007 at the age of 10 from an aggressive blood clot.  His memorial fund is raising money to build a baseball field in the New Market Area.  A portion of the proceeds will also go to support NMES programs in reading, fitness and technology.

Date of Event:            Saturday, April 14, 2012 (rain or shine)   

                                    5K - 9:00 a.m. 

                                    1 Mile – 10:00 a.m.

 

Start and Finish          New Market Elementary School

Location:                    93 West Main St.

                                    New Market, Maryland, 21774

 

Events:                       5K Run/Walk (road race)

                                    1 mile Run/Walk (cross country & track)

 

Awards:                      T-Shirts will be provided to all pre-registered participants. 

Prizes to top finishers.  Medals awarded to all participants. 
 

Refreshments:           FREE food provided with water at the finish line.

 

Registration Fee:       $20.00 per person on or before March 16th, 2012 (Maximum: $50 per family) OR $25.00/person thereafter or on race day.
