Welcome to your Reading Specialist's webpage! Feel free to check this site for "Reading Tips", "Websites", and "Reading Incentives" throughout the year. First a little background info about me:

I received my bachelor's degree from Towson University in Elementary Education in 1985. I received my masters' in Reading from Johns Hopkins University in 1990. The first 19 years I taught in Howard County; 15 years as a classroom teacher (grades 1-4) and then 4 years as a reading specialist. I have been a reading specialist in Frederick County, exclusively at New Market E.S., for the last 6 years. Wow! I am so lucky to be here!
I enjoy spending time with my family (now with the wonderful addition of grandkids!), reading (imagine that!), traveling, and doing crossword puzzles.
